Video: 1991 Bassmaster Classic

Ken Cook, moved from ninth to fourth to first to win the 1991 Bassmaster Classic with a 15-bass limit weighing 33 pounds, 2 ounces. The Classic was held Aug. 22-24, 1991 on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Video: 1988 Bassmaster Classic

After three days of dogged determination, Guido Hibdon, the runner-up in the year's Bassmaster Angler of the Year race, won with a three-day catch weighing 28 pounds, 8 ounces to obtain the crown for the 18th Classsic. The tournament was held Aug. 25-27, 1988.

Fishing just a long cast away from the launch ramp, George Cochran caught 14 bass that weighed 15 pounds, 5 ounces, the second lowest winning poundage in Bassmaster Classic history. The 17th annual Classic was held Aug.13-15, 1987, in Ohio River, Ky.

In every respect, the 1984 Bassmaster Classic must be considered one of the premier fishing events of all-time. The 14th annual Classic was held Aug. 16-18, 1984, on the Arkansas River.

Bo Dowden caught a 6-pound, 6-ounce bass, the biggest of the tournament, which anchored his 54-10 three-day catch, and earned him the crown in the "Super Bowl of Bass Fishing." The 10th annual Classic championship was held Sept. 24-26, 1980.
