South Super Regional

March 9-10, 2012 -- Lake Guntersville, Guntersville, Ala.

The first stop of the year will be at historic Lake Guntersville. While Mercury College B.A.S.S. has never stopped here, it is almost a staple for the Elite Series. Guntersville is known for its big fish. Fishing Lake Guntersville in early March should be enough motivation to enter this event.

April 13-14 -- Smith Mountain Lake, Franklin County, Va.

While Smith Mountain Lake has never hosted a Mercury College B.A.S.S. tournament, it has had its fair share of Bassmaster Elite Series Tournaments. Skeet Reese showed the world what weight Smith Mountain can produce in the spring. Look for some heavy bags when April rolls around for the college anglers next year.

May 11-12 -- Fort Gibson Lake, Wagoner, Okla.

Lake Ft. Gibson will be a new stop for the Mercury College B.A.S.S. Tour in 2012. âThe mayor and I are very pleased you have picked Wagoner for the college tournament for 2012. It really helps the economic impact to our community, and the anglers are so friendly and show their appreciation of all we do to make them feel welcome. Being an avid fishing person myself, I get really excited when B.A.S.S. chooses Fort Gibson as it is one of the best bass lakes in Oklahoma,â said Cyrina Lang, tournament & tourism director, Wagoner Area Chamber of Commerce.

May 18-19 -- Mississippi River, La Crosse, Wis.

New to the tour this year is the addition of the Midwest Super Regional. We are headed to Wisconsin. âLa Crosse, Wis., is one of the largest cities on the upper Mississippi River, and we are proud to host the Mercury College B.A.S.S. series next May. Our vibrant community is home to three institutions of higher learning, which fits well with this event. Additionally, the upper Mississippi River is one of the best fisheries in the country. Iâm sure everyone will enjoy the opportunity to experience our region,â said Dave Clements, executive director of the La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
