Here's how Day One of the Bass Pro Shops Northern Open #3 looks to be setting up. The rain has moved out and the wind is relatively calm (for around here). That will certainly make the run up to Pelee Island and the Bass islands shorter and easier; that's where some of the best bites around are happening. If anyone is going to make the run, which looks like most everyone, then today will be the day.
Canceling tomorrow remains a strong possibility. Tournament Director Chris Bowes told us at take-off that decision could come as early as weigh-in time, although it could be later. That's all the more reason to make the run across to the islands and into Canada.
