For the third consecutive year Carhartt offered a video contest for college anglers. An all-inclusive two-day fishing trip with Bassmaster pros Jordan Lee and Matt Lee was the Grand Prize.
For the third consecutive year Carhartt offered a video contest for college anglers. An all-inclusive two-day fishing trip with Bassmaster pros Jordan Lee and Matt Lee was the Grand Prize.
The trip was held on beautiful Lake Chatuge on the Georgia/North Carolina border immediately following the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year Championship.

Grand Prize winner Josh Worth of Colorado Mesa University brought his college fishing buddy Austin Miles of Colorado State University Pueblo along for the trip. The duo was excited to get on the water!

The anglers hopped into Jordan's rig and they headed out on Lake Chatuge.

It didn't take long before Jordan and Austin broke the ice with a pair of Chatuge spotted bass.

On the third stop Carhartt Video Contest winner Josh Worth got on the board with a chunky spotted bass. A fish Jordan would have loved to catch in the tournament.

A new topwater called a Berkley Cane Walker was their lure of choice.

Spotted bass weren't the only fish that liked the topwater. This big hybrid striped bass fell for it, too.

As some clouds rolled in, they threw on their Carhartt Shoreline Angler Rain Suits and headed shallow to look for largemouth.

But it didn't take long before they headed back offshore searching for angry spots.

All in all they had a great day on the water, leaving them even more excited for day two of the grand trip prize.

Some foul weather had settled in on Lake Chatuge in the morning, but the anglers weren't worried.

As long as any lightning held off they were headed to the water.

Most of the places both Jordan and Matt Lee fished looked similar to this. Long, flat points with isolated brush piles.

The spots were feeding on blueback herring, chasing the schools of baitfish around randomly.
