LAKE CUMBERLAND, KY – Calling all anglers! This October, Bassmaster Elite Angler Bradley Roy and USA Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting military families in crisis, will join forces to present the 2nd Annual Stars & Stripes Bass Open at Lake Cumberland in central Kentucky.
The 2017 Lake Cumberland Stars & Stripes Bass Open tournament will kick off on Saturday, October 7th at the Burnside State Park Ramp located at 8801 South Highway 27 in Burnside, Kentucky and run from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm.
“We set up two tournaments this year to raise some money for USA Cares, because the fishing industry has been huge for military members. Fishermen have big hearts, a soft spot for helping veterans,” said tournament co-host Bradley Roy. “We thought what better way to help than to put on a great tournament for some fishermen and raise some money for USA Cares at the same time.”
A $3000 grand prize is guaranteed to first place; additional places will be determined for every 10 boats registered. All tournament proceeds will benefit USA Cares and their veteran and military family assistance programs. Early registration costs $100, increasing to $110 during the week of the tournament. All participants are encouraged to pre-register online here or in person at Angler’s Outpost & Marine located at 96 South Camp Dick Road in Lancaster, KY.
