Visalia, Calif. – February 7, 2022 – As the 2022 Professional Fishing Season commences, Spearpoint Performance Hooks announces the addition of two Bassmaster Elite Series anglers to their expanding National Pro Team. Joining the team are pros Justin Hamner from Northport, Ala. and KJ Queen of Catawba, N.C., both entering their sophomore seasons on the Elite Series.
Both anglers are coming off successful rookie campaigns in which they earned berths into the 2022 Bassmaster Classic, finishing second and third in the Bassmaster Rookie of the Year race accordingly.
For Erik Hennesay, president of Spearpoint Performance Hooks, having anglers who test the product and believe enough to want to represent the brand and use the hooks with their very livelihood on the line, means something. “We’ve poured our hearts into this company and the products, and to have anglers of this caliber trust it enough to promote it is invaluable,” said Hennesay. “Plus, these two have shown their capabilities in qualifying for and competing on the Elite Series and having the chance to win with them is such an honor.”
Vice President and National Sales Manager Art Nubaryan added to the company’s thoughts. “We’ve been able to spend a significant amount of time on the phone and working with these guys and we’ve built a relationship with them,” said Nubaryan. “While their angling prowess is exciting, we love the fact that they’ve become part of the Spearpoint family, and we look forward to their contributions and being a part of their successes.”
Both anglers will be in the field when the 2022 Bassmaster Elite Series kicks off this week on the St. Johns River in Palatka, Fla. They will be using Spearpoint Performance Hooks in the nine-event schedule, and the Bassmaster classic on Lake Hartwell in March, and will be integral in the testing and development of new products that will be added to the lineup.
