Newberry, S.C. – Premium South Carolina manufacturer Falcon Bass Boats announces the addition of another top flight pro to their pro team. Brandon Cobb, from nearby Greenwood, S.C., has made the flight to Newberry and will be competing in his first year as a Bassmaster Elite Series pro from the Falcon F205, equipped with a new Mercury 250PROXS Four-Stroke.
Any fan who has followed the sport of bass fishing closely over the past several years has likely come across Cobb’s exploits. In his five-year career, he has become known largely because of his four consecutive top 10 finishes in his four Forrest Wood Cup appearances from 2015 to 2018. However, that’s not to say that he only performs in championship events; in his FLW career, Cobb has amassed over $400,000 in earnings, two wins and 32 other top 10s.
He said that there were several factors that led him to make the decision to join the Falcon team. “One reason is that they are a local company, and I can have more direct contact with the company,” said Cobb. “But the performance of the boat, the storage layout, the size and design of the deck are amazing. I also felt very comfortable with Stephen (Waller) and Tim (DePriest) from the moment I set foot in the building. Those are the reasons I chose to run a Falcon, and I am glad I did.”
Waller said that Cobb had been on the company’s radar for a while. “We have been following Brandon for quite some time because he is from South Carolina, and it’s great to add another local angler to our team,” said Waller. “Brandon is an accomplished angler and it doesn’t take long to figure out how passionate he is about fishing. We were really impressed with his level of passion for the sport. We are excited to have him on our team.”
Cobb joins a Falcon Bass Boats team that already includes Bassmaster Elite Series pros Patrick Walters, Brett Preuett, Rick Morris and Bassmaster Opens pro Michael Murphy.
