Line marker
If you can see fish on your graph at a certain depth but can’t keep track of how much line you have out, forgo an electronic line counter and get out a Sharpie instead. Mark your line in increments of 5 feet so you can get your bait in the strike zone. Be sure to account for line that is off the reel and outside of the rod. The marks on the line help to break up the line’s appearance underwater as well.
