Proven patterns: Fall creeks

You’re on a reservoir with numerous creeks and cuts. Shad are the primary forage. It’s midfall and water temperatures are in the high 50s to low 60s. Mornings are chilly, but the sun will be out all day to warm things up. Water color varies from the mouths of the creeks (where it’s clear) to the backs of the creeks (where it’s dingy). You’ve brushed up on your Bass Fishing 101 and know that bass are likely to be in the creeks — but where in the creeks? And biting what? You’ve selected a good-size creek with plenty of depth and cover options, including grass, brush and even a bridge. Here are three Bassmaster Elite Series pros with three plans of attack for the mouth of the creek, the midsection and the back.
