It happens all the time: you make that long, perfect cast and, for whatever reason, the hooks foul and catch the line. Most of us reel it in really fast, fix the bait and then make another cast. The problem with that method is that a fouled bait spins all the way back to the boat. That causes line twist, and line twist is never a good thing. It hurts casting distance and accuracy, and it weakens your line.
