Lowen’s Yamaha SHO power

Bassmaster Elite Series pro and Yamaha-sponsored angler Bill Lowen knows Xpress Boats and Yamaha SHO power make a great team on the water. In early 2018, Lowen signed on with Xpress as a new boat sponsor, continuing to run a Yamaha V MAX SHO 250-horsepower outboard during tournament season. And in the offseason, Bill also chooses the Xpress/Yamaha combo for duck hunting using a brand new Yamaha V MAX SHO 90 as his power of choice.

“The acceleration of that motor just has to be seen to be believed. I tell everybody they had better be holding on when I crack the throttle because it’s like being shot out of a slingshot.” – Bill Lowen

The performance continues through mid-range, with tremendous acceleration between 20 and 40 mph. Trimmed fully out, the boat topped out at 46.5 during our test.

Look for the yellow dipstick and check the oil every few trips – it’s that simple!

Don’t forget the sound levels are very low – the lowest in class in company tests – particularly at the lower rpms bass anglers might use when mapping out fishing spots on sonar.
