The 19th annual Triton Boat Owner’s Tournament (TOT) was held May 31 – June 2 on Kentucky Lake out of Paris Landing State Park.

385 teams of registered Triton owners (of any year model) hit the water.

Registration was Thursday evening where old friendships were renewed and new ones made. The American Bass Anglers run the tournament portion of the event and the rules were reviewed for the event.

Several Triton employees were recognized for their long-time commitment to the company and the TOT.  Candace Cockrell was honored Thursday evening.

This 5.83 largemouth helped put the team of Stephen Barday & John Paulk in second place after Day One.

This year fish could be caught both shallow and deep. The bigger bags came from the famed ledges of Kentucky Lake though.

The event was emotional for the winners – Joe and Allen Leonard.  They have fished the TOT for five years and their win was a welcome site for many.  Joe said “Dad’s had some health issues lately and we were making a 30-mile run.  We were blessed with good weather which allowed us to run to those fish.

Allen has worked at Watson’s Marine, a Triton dealer in Bluff City, TN, for the past five years since retiring. “Those guys have really helped us be ready for this event and I really want to thank them for that.”

And then the big drama of the event began.  10 random teams were drawn to participate in the drawing for the new 21 TrX boat.  It came down to two entrants and lot fell to Jimmy Trigg of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
