What is it?
XCalibur’s latest jerkbait, the EEratic shad. It’s an Edwin Evers design, hence the two Es in the name.
What does it do?
It’s your standard jerkbait, but with more action. It dives deeper than most any other jerkbait on the market and is said to produce more erratic action than most.
Why do I need it?
If your lake isn’t hard, the water’s cold, which is when jerkbaits shine. They also stand out in the spring as the water is beginning to warm.
How do I use it?
Many pros prefer a rip-rip-pause action, but this is highly variable. Sometimes you have to pause it as long as you can stand, and other days you can’t rip it fast enough. Decipher this for yourself each day; that’s part of the fun of bass fishing anyway.
What sets it apart?
Evers wanted two things out of the EEratic Shad: a jerkbait the dives deeper and doesn’t “helicopter” on the cast, thanks to an internal weight transfer system. This sucker dives to 7 feet and is available in 15 color patterns.
