What is it?
One of Spro’s newest creation, the Bronzeye Baby Pop. It’s a 50mm topwater frog that was designed in part by frog guru Dean Rojas. He’s won buckets of cash on the larger sizes.
What does it do?
It walks, spits, chugs and gurgles along in a pint-sized size package that’s designed to get attention from more bass.
Why do I need it?
On paper, this little gem should generate a lot of bites. Plus, there’s few things on the water that are more fun than seeing a topwater get blasted by a hungry bass.
How do I use it?
Like Rojas, of course! He pulls out a popping frog when the walking model isn’t producing, or when he wants to “soak” a frog in one spot longer while still generating fish-calling action. Rojas also trims the legs for better action.
What sets it apart?
Its size, for one. Second is its design. It’s a popping bait, but walks quite easily, too. Its diminutive size and mini “pops” will get it hammered. This baby is also armed with a 1/0 Gamakatsu double frog hook, and weighs in a 1/4 ounce.
