What does it do?
Basically, the only thing it shares with the old Citica is the name. This reel has been updated inside and out.
Why do I need it?
Depending on the retrieve ratio you choose, you can crank, flip, pitch, worm, or jig with it. Heck, you could even troll with these things. Shimano has designed them to be long-lasting.
How do I use it?
Like your other baitcasters! The Citica is a great option for anglers who are wanting a high-quality reel but don’t want to shell out big bucks.
What sets it apart?
Shimano has given the Citica its High Efficiency Gearing, which is said to produce more fish-moving power than a standard gear set. Weight saving were a priority with the design of the Citica. The spool is a Lo-Mass design which offers longer casts as well as a lighter weight. The braking system is variable, making casting light lures a snap. Three gear ratios are available: 7.1:1, 6.5:1 and 5.5:1.
