What is it?
Roman Made’s Prologue worms. They’re shaped like finesse worms, but when you see their size, it becomes immediately apparent that they’re for plus-size finessing.
What does it do?
They’ll either scare the daylights out of a bass or entice it into striking.
Why do I need it?
The bigger Prologues (the 8- and 14-inchers) are made for some serious wacky rigging or shaky head fishing. You’d better be around hungry, giant bass to throw the 14 inchers. However, the 5 1/2- and 8-inchers are more sensible for most folks.
How do I use it?
If you wacky rig it, you’ll probably need some sort of saltwater live bait hook. It’s the larger size hook you’re after, not the larger diameter. When a fish chomps down on all that plastic, it needs to get out of the way so the point can penetrate. You’re also going to want to throw these on casting gear rather than spinning gear with at least 15-pound test line for the 5 1/2- and 8-inchers, more like 20 or 25 for 14-inch model.
What sets it apart?
The Prologue worms are covered with what Roman Made calls “half-moon” ribs. These are said to create an incredible shimmying and shaking action on the fall. The Prologue is also equipped with air chambers to make it stand up once it’s on bottom, giving it even more appeal.
