Omega’s latest jig, the Casey Martin Signature Series Swim Jig.
What does it do?
It’s a swim jig designed by swim jig guru and touring pro Casey Martin. When worked properly, it looks like a shad or bream, depending on the color you choose.
Why do I need it?
Swim jigs often produce when the bite gets tough, or fish quit eating a spinnerbait or ChatterBait or other power bait. They’re more subtle than these lures, and when the fish are on a swim jig bite, they crush ’em.
How do I use it?
The best and most often advice heard when telling folks how to work a swim jig is to work it like you do a spinnerbait. This makes it simple, and gives the user confidence. If you like to burn a spinnerbait, do that. If you pump it and pause it, do that. Just add a complementing trailer and you’re ready to roll.
What sets it apart?
The head on this swimming jig is shaped to slice through grass and deflect off of cover well. The hook is a gaff, and the skirt is somewhat thinner than a regular jig’s. Plus, it’s got the signature red “Omega Eyes.” Seven colors are available, including three that Martin has been hand-tying for years to help him earn more than $100,000.
