What does it do?
The original Jerky Js were 5- and 7-inches long and made formidable jerkbaits. This new, baby version is a mere 3 1/2 inches.
Why do I need it?
This mini Jerky J is best suited for a drop shot rig, or for targeting slab crappie. You might even rig it on a leadhead and fish it on ultralight line and tackle to make a 2-pound bass fight like a 6-pounder.
How do I use it?
A drop shot rig would be your best bet here. Nose hook it with a small mosquito hook.
What sets it apart?
The supersoft plastic is made to easily penetrate the hook and into a fish’s jaw. Plus, like all Castaic plastics, the Baby Jerky J has lifelike features built right into it: a raised gill plate, bulging eye and textured scales. Thirteen colors are available.
