Bass boaters can experience a 10 percent fuel economy improvement when their Mercs are fitted with the new Enertia ECO propeller for outboards 135 HP engines and up.
The prop features a 16-inch diameter, large blade area and a high progressive rake that results in increased hull lift and drag reduction, which allows for lower planing speeds, increases top-end speeds and improves hole-shot performances.
With a minimum of 10 percent fuel economy gain at cruising speeds, the prop is expected to save boaters more than $550 per year.
The Enertia Eco is available in right- and left-hand rotation across three pitches: 19, 21 and 23 inches. It retails for under $800.
