What is it?
Livingston Lures Deep Impact 18
What does it do?
This crankbait targets deep water where the bass live during the heat of the summer. The Deep Impact 18 covers the 16-18 foot range and fits the bill when bass are on the ledges and deep points across the country.
What sets it apart?
Most crankbaits have rattles and some come silent, but the Livingston Lures Deep Impact 18 has four different options for whatever is right for any situation. The EBS (Electronic Baitfish Sound) technology that Livingston Lures is known for is taken to another level. This crankbait comes with a distressed baitfish sound, a crawfish sound, a schooling shad sound and a silent option. The four settings are at the touch of a button for quick and easy changing after any given cast.
How do I use it?
When it comes to cranking it is all about covering water and targeting the depth where the big bass live. The Deep Impact 18 will grind the bottom to stir up the bass when they key in on different types of baitfish. Early in the fishing season when bass are just beginning their prespawn stage, you can deflect the Deep Impact 18 off of riprap and other rocky points when bass are keyed in on crawfish. When bass are schooled up and feeding on gizzard shad or other types of shad, the DI 18 fires up schools as well. When fish are extremely pressured offshore and are tough to catch, the silent option can entice those finicky bass.
