The product of a 5-year refinement process by legendary lure designer, Seiji Kato, the Aska provides anglers with a silent running squarebill crankbait that’s ideal for pressured situations when fish shy away from baits with too much bait presence.
Central to the design is the precisely engineered fiberglass circuit board bill that catches lots of water, creates a tight wobble, deflects sharply and ensures superior impact resistance on those harder surfaces. Moreover, the Aska’s internal balancing weight quickly pulls the bait back on track after each deflection to ensure a centered, snag-free movement through cover.
How do I use it?
The Aska’s weight transfer system ensures optimal castability, so you can really wing this bait, even on beefier fluorocarbon. Available in 12 colors, the Aska comes in a sizes 50 (2-inch, 1/4-ounce), 60 (2.5-inch, 3/8-ounce) and 70 (3-inch, 5/8-ounce), each with a 3- to 4-foot depth range. Use the 50 for prespawners, move up to the 60 once the water starts to warm in late sprint and then go to the 70 for big summer bites.

One of the Aska’s most appealing details is the belly hook keeper, specifically the reinforced edges that limit that treble’s range of movement. There’s still plenty of lateral mobility for maximum hooking potential, but the belly hook won’t swing forward far enough to grab the bill, or backward far enough to tangle the rear treble. This preventive detail even allows sufficient spacing to upsize the treble without compromising the efficiency.
