WHAT SETS IT APART?
The Heddon Spook Boyo is the in between size of the Super Spook Junior and the Zara Puppy. Over a large part of the country, bass feed on extremely small baitfish which makes the forage difficult to imitate. Once you get a bait small enough to replicate the baitfish the bass are feeding on, the question becomes – can you still effectively throw the bait? Although the Spook Boyo is only 3 inches long, it still weighs 3/8-ounce so the angler is able to bomb it out there.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Offered in 13 colors, including several unique saltwater colors, the Spook Boyo still provides a walk-the-dog style action much like the rest of the Heddon Spook family of lures. A split ring is added to the nose of the bait, giving the bait a wider range of motion. Given its small stature, yet two treble hooks, the Boyo’s hook up ratio is outstanding. A single rattle is added inside the bait, which gives it a very unique sound on top of its unique size. The Spook Boyo a great option for those clear water, finicky schooling fish that key in on super small threadfin shad late in the year.
