What sets it apart?
Daiwa expands its popular Tatula family with a reel built to handle big baits. For all those deep diving crankbaits, swimbaits, glide baits and umbrella rigs, the Tatula 300 brings a sturdy aluminum frame which provides space for the larger gears in precise alignment. The result is significantly greater power and torque. To balance the internal mass, Daiwa built the Tatula 300 with a graphite side plate, opposite the handle.
How do I use it?
Available in standard (6.3:1), high speed (7.1:1) and hyper speed (8.1:1) models — all in left- and right-hand configurations — the Tatula 300 features Daiwa’s patented Magforce Z magnetic casting system, an exterior control that allows for adjustments based on wind conditions, rod specs and bait aerodynamics. Other features include Ultimate Tournament Drag (max 28.7 pounds), a large 110mm heavy cranking power handle with Soft Touch knobs, two corrosion-resistant ball bearings, five regular shielded ball bearings and one anti-reverse bearing.

Made with a 43mm aluminum deep spool, the Tatula 300’s overall mission benefits from the T-Wing System level wind, which reduces resistance when the reel is disengaged and allows for longer casts. Finely tuning the spool tension maximizes this feature. The T-Wing system also improves efficiency by reducing backlashes on this large-spool reel by reducing the line angle as it leaves the spool. On the retrieve, line drops into the narrow lower section of the T-Wing for smooth, even spooling.
