The Dorado CVO includes the handy speed lacing, which facilitates adjusting the elastic laces, but Columbia added an interesting touch to this popular element — a hook-and-loop tab reminiscent of several of the company’s shirt styles.

Since I’ve come too close to stepping on or bumping into treble hooks on boat decks, I’m not a flip flops kinda guy. However, the warmer months definitely make lighter footwear most comfortable. Often, the challenge is finding a shoe that provides sufficient support for a day of standing without making you want to loosen the laces every 30 minutes. Columbia has achieved that balance in a shoe that you’ll be equally comfortable wearing on the water and for casual outings.
