Gear Review: BerleyPro Fishfinder Visor

What is it?

BerleyPro Fishfinder Visor by Mariner-Sails. (Humminbird Helix 5 and Ram Mount not included)

What sets it apart?

Regardless of your vessel of choice, bright sun can make it difficult to effectively utilize and view your electronics. When kayaking your favorite waters, a screen visor can make all the difference allowing the angler to zero in on the instant informaion provided by the electronics. When sitting in a fishing kayak your angle is limited making it difficult to find an easy viewing angle when dealilng with glare. The BerleyPro Visor fits a multitude of different brands including Humminbird, Lowrance, Garmin and Raymarine.

How do I use it?

It easily installs with four bolts, and depending on how the unit is mounted to the boat, can be adjusted to meet your needs from a seated or standing position. The other cool benefit to the BerleyPro Visor is that it will allow the user to reduce the brightness power requried to adequately view the screen, which means extended battery life.

Angler’s insight:

I can’t tell you the times I’ve had to crane my neck to get a better view of a fishfinder’s screen, not to mention change batteries while I’m out on the lake in my kayak. This thing fixes both problems in one fell swoop. It only took me five minutes to install with only a small phillips screw driver and a matching channel-lock wrench. Whether you fish primarily from a kayak or full-size boat, the BerleyPro Visor will add to your productivity on the water, and that means more fish!
