What is it?
Berkley Havoc Change Up
What does it do?
The soft-plastic creature bait was designed to flip, pitch, punch or swim, and it fits nicely onto large hooks while maintaining an attractive action.
What sets it apart?
The Change Up was designed by FLW pro Scott Suggs, and it is meant to fit larger hooks and garner attention in some very heavy cover, but this one works in more ways than one. It can be Texas rigged and worked in deep water, as a punch-bait trailer and even as a flipping and pitching jig trailer. The bait is four inches long and available in 13 attractive colors.
How do I use it?
The husky, elongated body accommodates a 6/0 wide-gap hook without negative impacting bait’s action. It can be rigged to punch grass mats, jig deep, offshore structure and much more. But, finding a single bait to accomplish each task without loosing action has been tough, until Berkley introduced the Change Up.
How much?
$3.49

Editor insight:
When it comes to punching grass, a bait’s profile has a substantial impact on how effective it is. The Change Up easily slides through thick vegetation and gets the presentation to where the fish are swimming without hanging up on the way down. The pincers and ear tags add appeal and vibration as it slithers deep into the strike zone.
