AFTCO expands its comfortable Vista Performance Fleece beyond the original adult size 1/4-zip and crew style to include youth sizes in the pullovers, as well as a new vest configuration. Available in adult and youth sizes, the latter provides a lighter option that’ll add depth to your wardrobe. Wear it under a rain jacket for extra torso warmth or pair it with a stylish technical shirt for a casual outing or walking the dog on a chilly morning.
How do I use it?
All pieces in the Vista lineup are made of mid-weight polyester micro fleece fabric featuring Durable Water Repellent coating and AFGUARD advanced stain release properties. The Performance Fleece Vest includes a full-zip front, stand-up collar, two large hand pockets, a vertically zippered chest pocket and reflective AFTCO logos. Available in four colors, the adult vest comes in sizes S-3X. The youth version is offered in sizes S-XL, with three colors.

We don’t often use Goldilocks references in fishing industry coverage, but every now and then we find one of those “just right” scenarios meriting the allusion. AFTCO’s Vista Vest fits here, because there will be times when just a t-shirt or a technical fishing shirt leaves you feeling too cold, while a full-form fleece top like the original Vista might get a little too hot once the sun comes up. Lose the sleeves and you have a strategic layering item that you can easily vent by unzipping without having to remove and then replace for chilly boat rides.
