Gamakatsu’s G-Finesse Jighead Wacky
What does it do?
Sinks a finesse worm in the wackiest of fashions.
Why do I need it?
To get bites when the fishing gets tough, or when you’re targeting suspended fish.
How do I use it?
There are a number of ways to use these, but the designer, touring pro Shinichi Fukae, says that this jighead is best fished with a Yamamoto Senko center hooked and allowed to flutter at its own pace without any angler-imparted action. He casts it with an open bail on light spinning tackle, and constantly monitors the line for any movement which may indicate a strike.
What sets it apart?
Fukae designed this to be the most angler-friendly jighead there is. The line tie is recessed to cut down on snags, but even more to that point is the titanium weedguard. Most wacky jigheads have steel or cable weedguards that wither break off or bend, but this titanium piece springs back time after time. Also, and perhaps most obviously, the hook is a sticky-sharp Gamakatsu.
