What does it do?
The author hopes to inspire as well as tell stories about average Joes, or “Joe Sixpack” as he call everyman. “Joe” is any angler who’s not a big-name tournament pro who fishes when he can on a budget. “This book is about ignorance, not expertise,” says Burroughs. “This is about the self-learning moments, and realizing that the trip’s greatest reward is not the full stringer. This is not a ‘how to’ book, it’s a ‘why not’ book.”
