Being outside is always a lot of fun. But, when the sun dips low and the mosquitoes start to emerge, the fun level can take a dive. With the 4Patriots BugOUT Solar Lantern, you can keep the fun going without having to share it with unwelcome guests. The BugOUT Lantern is charged during the day by the sun. Then, when darkness falls, it’s a handy lantern and a bug zapper all in one!
What sets it apart?
Since it charges from the sun, the BugOUT can be used anywhere you are. Whether you’re out on your deck or at your campsite, you can be bug free without having to worry about a power source. It also provides a three-stage light that can light up your picnic table for a meal or game time. It even has a self-cleaning feature that makes getting the dead bugs out simple without having to touch them. As if that wasn’t enough, the BugOUT weighs in at just about a pound, so it’s easy to carry and move around.
How do I use it?
Let your BugOUT solar lantern charge in the sun for a day or plug it into a USB outlet. Once charged, pressing the power button will turn on the lantern to its low setting. Pressing again will take it to medium, and a third time will go to the brightest setting. A fourth press turns the lantern off. To activate the bug-zapper feature, hold the power button down for about 3 seconds, and the blue zapper light will come on at dusk. Hold the power button down again for 3 seconds to turn off the zapper feature.

Adventurtunity Family’s insight:
We LOVE to be near the water. Lakes, rivers, ponds, oceans — water is our jam. So, when we are looking for campgrounds or boondocking spots, we typically end up in campsites near water. It’s all fun and games until the mosquitoes come out. And we’re not huge fans of citronella candles or bug spray, so we either deal with it or go inside. But now that we have our BugOUT Solar Lantern, we can hang out outside without having to worry about the biting pests. It’s also a great light to keep on the table for playing games or eating meals. And it charges in the sun during the day, which means we don’t have to remember to recharge it!
