A true-to-nature shad-mimicking swimbait in 4.5- and 6-inch sizes, Shadtron LT is equipped with an industry-first over/under line-through harness that allows for both dorsal rigging with an included single hook, or belly rigging with a treble hook (not included).
Z-Man continues discovering even more applications for its soft, buoyant ElaZtech material. In this case, 10X ElaZtech adds the foundation of durability to the line-through harness, while the buoyancy and softness supports the Shadtron LT’s lifelike swimming action.
The sum of the whole is a swimbait that maintains a natural, upright posture at all times, including on the free fall and at rest on the bottom. The rounded, wedge-shaped tail provides realistic swimming action at a wide range of speeds.
Armed with heavy-duty 3/0 (4.5-inch) and 5/0 (6-inch) sickle-shaped black nickel needlepoint hooks.
HOW DO I USE IT?
The Shadtron’s internal Y-harness allows anglers rigging options to suit the mood of the fish. Rig it with a single hook for swimming around laydowns, docks or vegetation, or deploy a treble hook for fishing in open water targeting spotted bass or smallmouth.
The harness is designed so the hook slides in and sits recessed within the spine of the bait. Just thread the line through the nose and out the slot, tying to the single hook. Pull the line tight and the hook clicks back in place, giving the bait a clean and seamless appearance. The bait body slides up the line if the fish tries to throw the hook.
