Water-repellent, fast drying woven nylon with a cooling touch provides a full suite of on-water comfort in a pant that provides UPF 50+ sun protection. The fixed waistband has a zippered fly with reinforced belt loops, and there’s a button front closure and an interior drawcord to cinch secure for the perfect fit. Gusseted crotch and articulated knees add ease of movement. Inseam: 30 inches Short, 32 inches Regular, 34 inches Long. Waist sizes from 30 to 44. Colors: Cork, Storm, Cinder.

HOW DO I USE IT?

Pants include two roomy front drop-in hand pockets and two back pockets, and a zippered right back pocket closes to secure essentials. All pocket bags are built with water drainage for fast drying. Another storage option is the right thigh drop-in pocket for pliers or other tools. A standout feature is the lightweight micro drawcord at hem to cinch tight when wet wading.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

The Simms Superlight pant makes an ideal option for shorts when you want full sun protection. What I also like is the fabric is soft to the touch and comfortable. The pant fits true to size and has a nice tailored look for wearing away from the water.

If you do any stream wading like me, you’ll also appreciate the cinch drawcord that prevents the hem of the pant from ballooning. Cinch ‘em up tight to the ankle and you have no worries. The durability of the pant also adds protection when hiking through cover to get to the streambed. Pair them up with the Simms Pursuit Shoe
