Catch up with Bryan Schmitt as he fights to claim the top spot on semifinal Saturday.
Schmitt starts in the same spot as the previous days, and starts to find some fish fairly quick.
A good one to start! More of these and Schmitt will be looking right!
Schmitt continues to troll around this area taking a slower fishing approach. But, the fish are few and far between.
Not much luck here, so time to move to the trusted spot.
Schmitt lands in his trusted spot. The area he caught most of his fish the previous days.
This spot is loaded with fish. It’s a matter of catching enough to finally get a big bite.
As predicted, he immediately hooks up.
And again.
So far so good on size. These last two fish haven’t been giants, but great starters for sure.
This fish in particular is a good keeper that will probably stay in the livewell for the remainder of the day.
Schmitt continues to catch fish back-to-back. Small ones are expected, but the bigger ones are there.
And right before we decide to move up the lake, Schmitt hooks one that seems like a big one.
And it is! Another good one in the boat and Schmitt is well on his way to holding second place and threatening first.
