Rivet’s riveting Day 3 rise

See Tyler Rivet race up the leaderboard on the third day of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Oahe!

Louisiana’s Tyler Rivet left blast-off in sixth place going into the third day of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Oahe, and he ran straight to his spot on a lake much different from yesterday’s.
He made hay quickly, boxing his first fish before we could even catch up with him.
Rivet was working a Carolina rig on offshore humps.
There was a little chop early in the morning, but at least it wasn’t the high waves of the second day of competition.
Rivet was using his electronics to keep in position.
He stuck another bass …
… but it wasn’t the size he needed.
The fish was quickly released …
… and Rivet was making another cast.
Rivet hooked up again, as fellow Elite pro Chris Zaldain idled by as the latter moved into position just down the lake.
This hookset put a smile on the angler’s face.
Rivet reached for the chunky smallmouth …
… but the fish wasn’t having any of it …
… and jumped over the angler’s hand.
On the second scoop, Rivet had the fish controlled.
The 2 1/2-pounder went into the livewell.
Rivet finally moved on after another 45 minutes or so without a bite.
