Rivet reels ’em in

Follow along with Tyler Rivet as he gets to work on the second day of the 2023 Gamakatsu Bassmaster Elite at Lake Seminole!

Tyler Rivet began Day 2 of the 2023 Gamakatsu Bassmaster Elite at Lake Seminole in 16th place, but by about noon he had jumped into the Top 3. We caught up with him fishing a cut off the Flint River.
Lake Seminole is choke full of wildlife, including lots of limpkins.
Rivet was fishing dense vegetation, and had about 17 pound in the boat early.
“I came in here this morning and poled down, and caught a limit — and culled,” he said.
The vegetationwas a mix of hydrilla, hyacinths, and emergent vegetation.
Rivet hooked up after making a long cast with a soft plastic.
He boat flipped the 3-pounder.
The catch allowed him to cull a 2-6, pushing him to over 18 pounds for the day.
Rivet moved to another area, giving his trademark double-gun salute on the way by.
He was soon slipping into another cut.
He had a little company.
Again, the key to the area was the thick, fish-holding vegetation.
And that salad soon gave up another bass.
“I don’t think it’ll help,” Rivet said with a smile.
He weighed it to be sure, and then released the 3-pounder.
And then he was off to check another spot.
