We catchup with Shane LeHew midway through Day 2 of the Simms Bassmaster Elite Series on Lake Fork.
LeHew has had a strong morning, with 19- pounds in the boat already.
LeHew moves to the front deck to swap baits.
And hooks up on his next cast
This one looks like it could help
Another solid fish for LeHew
Time to make a move
The wind is howling here on Day 2, making many of LeHew’s spots unfishable
Time to make another move
LeHew works his way back into the woods
Tryng his best to dodge stumps
Another bite for LeHew, but not the kind he’s after
A giant bass boils on a shad the size of a man’s hand within 10 feet of our camera boat
You can see the shad peeling off to the bottom right of this photo
But the bass doesn’t stop pursuing the shad, and to the best of my knowledge the bass won the race
Meanwhile LeHew makes his way down the bank
Firing a topwater out among the trees, LeHew definitley has the right idea based on what we just saw go down.
It’s hard to know what to fish here, with standing timber as far as the eye can see
LeHew is regularly looking down at his graphs
Hoping to see a fish alongside some of the timber
LeHew heads out. And we leave him with it.
