Johnston’s championship charge

Early in the day the Canadian pro checked a few areas before heading to his primary area down the lake.
Johnston hooked up shortly after making one of his first stops.
Unfortunately it wasn’t a keeper.
After giving this area a little bit longer, he decided to ditch this area and make the run down to his primary area.
Almost immediately after arriving to his next spot, Johnston hooks up with a good one.
These Lake Oahe smallmouth don’t go down without a fight.
Johnston boats a game changer early.
His very next drop results in another bite.
In the matter of minutes, Johnston hooks up with another nice one.
Another good fish is in the boat for Johnston. This fish gave him the unofficial lead on BassTrakk.
Johnston began to gather a solid crowd, including a few walleye fishing boats.
After Johnston’s flurry, it got extremely slow. Johnston decided to pull the plug on this area and move further down the lake.
