Since there aren’t any trees in this part of the country, the bald eagles stage on the ground.
Matt Robertson is looking to win his first Bassmaster Elite.
Matt starts off with a small finesse style bait to trigger a smalmouth bite.
Bryan New settles in to his first stop as well right next to Robertson.
Matt’s first fish is a tiny one.
After only catching one small fish, Matt heads downriver.
Matt;s first spectator boat arrives full of fans.
This young angler has come all the way from Nebraska to see hisfavorite angler, Matt Robertson.
Finally Matt gets to one of his best spots, the only bad thing that it is Seth Feider’s number one sot as well.
Seth hooks up with a big Lake Oahe smallmouth
On it’s initial jump, Seth realizes he has a 4 pounder and wants to get it in the boat as fast as possible.
Seth tries to boat-flip the big fish and breaks his line in the process.
what would have been Seth’s fifth fish of the day, waves one last goodbye with the tail.
The words that were said here shouldn’t be written, LOL!
Frustrated, Seth get’s back to business.
Seth re-ties, hoping not to break another one off today.
It is very important to have team-mates on the tour.
