Flying over Oahe

Get the view from the sky on Day 3 of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Oahe!

It’s Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, on a foggy morning at the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Oahe. Come along for an aerial tour of boats and bison.
This was the scene around 7:30, or 30 minutes after official takeoff.
It took about that long for the first flight of boats to arrive at these prime fishing areas.
Many of those areas are offshore, where the anglers were fishing long, tapering points where the bait and bass were gathered.
About another 30 minutes later, the second flight boats began arriving in the area.
The following sequence demostrates how anglers managed their areas, sharing their water while maintaining their individual strategies.
We couldn’t resist stopping for this next sequence. It was taken on the shoreline of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.
