Ronnie Moore just texted Keith Combs’s marshal and reported that Combs does in fact still have zero here on Day 2. Combs made the remark during the Day 1 weigh-in that his 19-10 looked good up there on stage but that it was a grind out on the water, with him only getting 7 or 8 bites all day.
That grind has come to a halt for one of the best offshore fishermen on the Elite Series. A testament to just how tough and crowded the offshore bite is on Pickwick right now.
