Brad Whately is back and making his presence felt this morning with the early lead. Whatley has a limit with three of his bass averaging around 3-pounds this morning, the kind that are going to be the building blocks for a solid bag this week.
Whately overcame a lot to get here. Battling the excruciating effects of Crohn’s disease, he was forced to take a medical hardship early in the season. But feeling much better and on the mend, Whatley decided to return for the final two Elites of the season. Without the importance of points since his overall season is shot, Whately told us that he’s going to be fishing to win. He’s backed that up so far this morning.
