Chris Johnston made the comment this morning that he thought the water had risen nearly a foot in his area on Pool 8. This rise in the water repositioned his smallmouth, but he was able to quickly relocate them.
One interesting thing to watch today, will this rise in water level open up new water to anglers? Several have said this week they’re able to see water they believe could be super productive, but they can’t quite get to it.
With all the pressure this stretch of the Mississippi has seen this week, and in recent months, being able to access some untouched water could spell victory for one of these guys.
