Walls of water

Waves were huge on the Alabama side of the main lake at Eufaula.

Cory Johnston just tried to make a run out into some big water, but had to turn back. “There were 8-footers rolling in,” said the Canadian. Some of these guys not from the North, as good as they are, can still big eye a wave the first time or two they fish these lakes. Johnston isn’t one of them.

Those are massive, massive waves. The kind you get over into the trough of and you can’t see anyone or anything but a wall of water on either side of you. And that’s really a best case scenario, cause then they’re rolling steady. Right now, it’s chaos out there, waves crashing from all direction and the kind that dole out a straight beating with no good way to run them.
