Unbelievable. No one word has been used more to describe what leader Brandon Palaniuk has done behind Beeswax Creek bridge. And the astonishing events continue, as Palaniuk just made back-to-back culls with two bass close to 3 pounds apiece.
It would be impressive if Palaniuk was doing what he’s doing this shallow in a hidey-hole 10 miles from launch. But he’s doing it within sight of takeoff almost. And this place is the polar opposite of a hidey-hole. If you just start to utter the words Beeswax Creek, the little spy in your phone will likely start sending you Google ads for Red Eye Shads, the bait that Kevin VanDam used to make this creek famous during his 2010 Bassmaster Classic win.
So it’s unbelievable that Palaniuk or any other Elite angler would be able to catch a limit back there, much less be five bites away from $100,000. Unbelievable.
