There were 15 bags over 20 pounds weighed on Day 1. Day 2 saw 12 bags over 20. There are only three currently on BassTrakk and they’re all atop the leaderboard.
Luke Palmer, Brandon Cobb, and Drew Cook are the only anglers to have averaged over 20 pounds a day to this point. But Cobb doesn’t have 20 today though, Mark Mendez does. Menendez sits in 4th and may very well have the VMC Monster Bag of the tournament in the livewell.
Matt Robertson had 28-1 on Day 1. Menendez has an estimated 28 pounds in the boat with a little less than three hours left to fish. We’re not certain what Menendez is using today, but he was very confident in the old-school big topwater prop bait, a Gilmore Jumper, he was throwing yesterday.
