Foutz takes the lead, Felix slides into 2nd… but wait, here comes Cory Johnston.
Jacob Foutz recently culled a 1-8 with with a 4-11, slingshotting himself past Brandon Palaniuk for the lead. Foutz currently sits at 23-5, Palaniuk and Felix tied with 23-0.
Palaniuk and Foutz have a slight advantage when it comes to upgrading, both with a 3-12 in their bag. Felix is on a better average with nothing under 4-pounds at this point.
But while writing this, Cory Johnston put his second 5- pound, 6- ounce smallmouth of the day in the boat to jump ahead of all these anglers to take the lead. Cory Johnston now sits at 23-8 in the lead.
