Bryan New started the day in 4th place, within striking distance of leader Chris Johnston. New quickly shuffled down to the bottom of the deck though, as everyone seemed to be catching them but him this morning.
After a slow, slow start, New finally snatched up his trolling motor in obvious frustration and bailed on his starting spot. He scrambled around awhile and then landed on them. In the last hour he clawed his way quickly back into 4th place according to BassTrakk.
Now New has a bag close to 15-pounds, comparable to the current weights in the well for Chris Johnston, Bryan Schmitt, Keith Combs and Scott Martin, who fill out the remainder of the top 5 respectively.
A 4- pounder or two, and any of these five guys could still win this thing.
