Will Davis Jr has made the biggest run since we last checked in. Davis has moved into second place thanks to a 12-minute flury that started at 1:47 and included a 2-8, 3-0 and 3-3. Alabama native Justin Hamner has 15 pounds in the boat as well and has moved way up from 29th to fourth, unoficially. Seth Feider and Jay Przekurat have rallied today too with 14-pound bags to settle into the Top 10.
But what matters most right now is that Day 2 cutline. At the moment, Kyle Norsetter sits in 50th with 19-3. We’re estimating the cutline to be around 21 to 22 pounds. The exact guess earlier was 22-3. We should see a lot of shifting here in the last few moments as a dozen guys below the cutline are still looking to fill their limits. One bass in the 2-pound range could jump John Cox up from 58th to 47th for instance. And with the anglers in the last flight not due in for another two hours, there’s still plenty of time for a lot to change.
