The fishing, despite the cloud cover, seems to be just as good today as it was on Day 1. So it stands to reason that it will take 36 pounds to move on to Day 3.
This is an impressive weight, one that Austin Felix predicted after the first day of practice, and over 2 pounds more than it took to make Day 3 in 2021. This was the last time the Elites visited Champlain, and the tournament was held a month earlier. So, it stands to reason the fish are heavier now, but this cut weight is still heavier than many expected to see this week.
