Steve Kennedy has just finished off a small limit, putting a 1-3 in the “big side” of his livewell. That side is typically reserved for the 4- to 5- pounders that he caught on day one. But weighing each fish and knowing every ounce counts, Kennedy doesn’t won’t this last little one to get mixed up with the littler ones he caught earlier when he goes to cull later in the day.
Kennedy is throwing big baits, his last keeper coming on a 7-inch Senko.
“What was he thinking,” Kennedy exclaimed as he unhooked his 5th small keeper of the morning.
Another small fish in the boat for Kennedy while writing this.
“We’ve got a 1-1, I get to cull.”
Tough start for Kennedy but boy is he having fun.
